Two Ships Passing
Poets Kyle Schlesinger and Cindy St. John

Visual Arts Center (Austin)

With poets Kyle Schlesinger and Cindy St. John, this edition of Two Ships Passing concerns the kinds of meaning that viewers and readers can extract from looking closely at the producer’s temporal structuring of a work. Whether works fragment, layer, or juxtapose sequences of events, ideas, or images, these moments of fracture and compression guide us through the work. In collaboration with the University of Texas Visual Arts Center.

Print Annual no. 2 Launch Party

Domy Books (Austin)

In popular magazines such as TIME, articles are the filler and ads are the content. As Ricky Yanas—Pastelegram’s guest editor for its second print issue—sees it, the ads must be included among the magazines pages, economically speaking, and the articles do not. Therefore the magazine’s articles for the most part support the advertising companies’ sale of goods. Sponsored by Real Ale.
